Hi, earlier today we purchased an APC BX1500LCD. After plugging in, I noticed a short buzz, every 10 seconds or so (sounds like zzzzzz). Everything appears to work fine. Since it's charging, we haven't plugged anything in yet. It sounds like it's coming from the back. We own a 1300LCD without the said noise upon initial charging or current usage. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hello:
How load is this buzzing noise? Normally this unit should not make a loud, periodic buzzing sound like you are describing. The fan on this unit is located in the back; does this sound like a fan noise? Perhaps you can check to see if there are any obvious objects sticking into the vent where the fan is, or if there is any excess dust. Aside from that, this sounds like a possible issue with the unit and you may want to look into getting it replaced. You can feel free to contact APC at 800-800-4272 or by Email at esupport@apcc.com (or at www.apc.com/support)
Thanks, and good luck!
