Just bought this today at Best Buy. Running a manual self test on the device itself yields a successful test. Running a self test with the PowerChute software tells me the test fails and I need a replacement battery.
Should I be concerned?

ok so that tells you it was manufactured in the 16th week of 2012 which does not seem like a problem to me. i'd be concerned if they sold you a two year old UPS. how much load percentage is on there? how long has the UPS been able to charge up for now? i'd give it at least a day or two before i start running self tests on it.
even so, i am interested in the specifics powerchute gives you. is it possible to grab a quick screenshot of when it fails via there?

Well when I was testing it last night, it claimed to be at 100% charge after a couple hours. PowerChute never gave any specifics of what caused the "fail". It seems to be passing today though. Guess I just needed to let it fully charge first.
It's never been over half load, usually sits around 15-25%.
Thanks for your help anyway 🙂
