front LED panel flashing box (representing battery I guess), in powerchute it shows "Battery disconnected in your UPS battery backup". Does this mean the battery is bad and needs replaced?
Current Status shows
Battery is currently: Unknown
PowerChute PE 3.0.2

Hi James,
Battery Disconnected is indicating the UPS is not detecting adequate DC voltage on it's internal DC Bus. This could mean the internal battery has not yet been connected or if the unit has been in service for a period of time, the battery voltage may be too low to be detected and would require replacement.
I have attached the user manual below for your reference.
