BN575G With New Battery Passes Cold Start Test But Does Not Turn Back On With Normal On/Off Cycle

My APC Back-UPS 575 (BN575G) has worked fine for a number of years (out of warranty), with just changes of batteries.  The other morning, I cam downstairs and the unit was off.  If I tried to turn it back on, it would beep quickly and turn off.  I thought it might be the battery, so I replaced it with a new one.  However, it exhibits the same behavior.  I tried to troubleshoot using the Cold Start solution, and that worked - the unit powered on and the power light remained green as I plugged the unit back into the wall.  However, if I turn it off (once plugged back in), and then try to turn it on again, if reverts to the prior start -- quick beeps, and instead of clicking "on", it turns off.  It can only be revived by performing the Cold Start again.  I guess that the easy answer would be to just run the Cold Start process to turn it back on when it requires a rest, but I don't trust the unit as a back-up, given this new behavior (previously, it turned on and off without incident).  If this unit dead, or can it be saved (and if so, how)?  Thanks in advance for any information anyone can share.

I suggest you connect the unit to a computer running APC Power Chute Software to see what active faults / errors are present and report the same here for review.

You may use this APC Resource Link to download the EOL version of v1.31 PCPE here:

https://www.apc.com/ca/en/download/document/APC_PCPE_310/

You may also use this link to download the latest version of Power Chute called (PCSS). You’ll need to create a APC / SE account before you can download a copy:
