I have 4 of these (APC BN450M) all just over 3 years old, 2 have started flashing red/green when powered on, i assume the battery is bad, what are my options. They say the battery is non serviceable. So just trash them and buy new?... or?

You can simply unscrew the four bottom screws from the base of the unit. The unit takes a 12 volt 4.5 amp hour cell.
