I have a sim racing rig to which I have added the BE600M1. It's a triple monitor setup with an older gtx2070ti vid card. Plenty of peripherals. What I find interesting is that when I load up a track and prepare to drive, when I "get in the car" meaning I'm ready to actually drive, the ups starts squealing. Get back "out" and it stops. I know the load on the card must go up when it actually has to start rendering a "drive" but I was surprised that it overloaded the ups. Is this, in fact, what is happening? If so, I'll source a larger ups and use this little one elsewhere. Thanks
Edit: two things, first, no confirmation email. Second. How much bigger beyond 600 do you think I need to go?

The first thing to do is to determine the load or wattage in use now. If you had nothing you can read off each of the units sticker or literature to find out its maximum wattage draw. Ideally you would use a power monitor like a Killowatt meter found on Amazon to know exactly what the power requirements are.
Once known you can use APC’s online runtime calculator to find out how long something will operate on a given load. That will get you into the general ballpark in terms of UPS size. You’ll need to add another 30% for overhead such as when your video card running at maximum.
If finances isn’t a problem just buy the largest UPS that meets your environmental needs! 👍🤣 More is better and you won’t have to worry about running out of power should the need arise.
Keep in mind if your gaming rig is one of those ridiculous monsters even a 1500 VA UPS won’t be enough. So you could just use the smaller (existing) UPS to run the (lower power) items like monitors etc. Then have the larger UPS to power the gaming rig.
Or go balls out and purchase a 2200 VA UPS and never look back! 🤟🤣

It's not a question of how long it will run when the power goes out. It squeals when the vid card starts working hard. It's a 7700k with a 2080ti and a direct drive wheel/pedal, triple monitors. I assume it's telling me it can't keep up at that level of power draw. I can use it all day until it comes to actually rendering the driving. I'll up the power. Thank you.
