BE600M1 power up problem after losing power for no apparent reason
I've got a BE600M1 for an LED TV and small cable/streaming receiver, which I bought in June of 2021.
A couple of days ago it basically lost power, the items plugged into it just shut off, and the alarm sounded constant.
After unplugging the items that were connected, I pressed the power button to shut off the alarm then unplugged it.
In a different room, I plugged it in and tried to power it up but the led on the power button just blinks green kind of rapidly for about 5-6 seconds or so then goes out and the alarm sounds constant until I press the power button to shut it off.
I left it plugged in for a couple of days without anything connected, thinking the battery might have been low, then today I tried to power back up but the same thing happens.
I unplugged it waited a couple of minutes then opened the battery compartment slid the battery out and metered the battery which read about 13.3 volts.
My basic understanding of LA/SLA batteries leads me to believe that the battery is ok if it's showing that much voltage without any load and allow the unit to power up.
Does anybody with more knowledge have any suggestions, has the controller part of the unit gone bad or something else, any and all help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for reaching out to the SE Community, my name is Jon and I will assist you with this query. I am sorry to hear about the issue that you've experienced with the BE600M1.
Aside from the steps that you did on the UPS, I would also recommend doing a logic reset on the UPS. If this wouldn't clear the fault, I suggest that you reach out to the country where the UPS is being used to check the warranty of the unit as it has encountered an unrecoverable fault.
