I've had this unit for maybe 4-6 years. Lately it is randomly losing power just for about 1 sec which causes shutdown of everything connected. This happens 2-3 times a week. A lamp test does work when unplugging from the wall. The building wiring fault light is on, and has been since moving to this property a year ago. I never connected the data line, or installed the software so I have no info from that (I can't find the line now).
Serial # JB0408017564
Do I need a new battery, or is there something else wrong?
Thanks!

Have you ever replaced the battery? If not it is an old battery for sure. Most batteries are only going to last ~3-5 years, so your right at that end of life time frame. How long did the lamp stay up? I would also assume that your computer gear is pulling more power than the lamp was and could be the reason that it held that as opposed to your computer gear.
I would definitely recommend looking into a new battery, or even trading in the unit for a new one.
