I have a very new APC BACK-UPS XS 1500 that is giving me a F06 error code before it totally dies. I can unplug it for a while plug it back in, it acts normally for a day and totally dies again.
Does any one know what the F06 code means?

Hi Les,
I apologize for what had happened. Have you ever heard back from our E-Mail Support Team? If not, I do recommend that you contact our APC Technical Support at 1.800.800.4272 and choose BackUPS. I am pretty sure that they'll be able to help you out.
Be ready with the model and serial number of the unit as well as those troubleshooting steps that you have gone over. Same goes with what have you been experiencing with the APC BackUPS.

I just had this occur with a unit 9 months old. I contacted APC via the website and included the serial number. Oddly, about 20 hours after we had a 2 hour power failure, it alarmed and shut off. Dead. I moved everything over to surge only and then about 34 hours it alarmed and killed the power to everything in the slave ports. This is a big pain, literally. I expected far more reliability.

as long as you provide the serial number off the back or bottom of the UPS, you'll be fine. dont worry about the receipt for now.

Hi,
The code indicates there is a problem with the internal relays. You should contact local technical support. If the UPS is under warranty they will issue a replacement.
Local support contact information will be found at this link.

You may need to change the region in the upper left of the contact us web page.

My UPS (XS 1500) should be a couple of years old. It displays "F 06" as well as something to the effect of "See product manual." In the manual, there is no discussion of such code.
