Alternative Communications cables for APC Back UPS Pro BX1500M

I just got two APC UPS, not sure if I need to plug them into my iMac's. I do not have a the apc ups communication cable.

Can I use a USB to Ethernet Adapter instead of buying a cable from APC.

I recommend you purchase the AP9827 also known as 940-0127. You will find the cable on apc.com, se.com and on our partners sites such as amazon. I have also seen the cable available on e-bay.
