Hello,
I bout an UPS Pro 1200 in April 2018.
In September 2018, it had a failure, and I contacted APC. After a few tests with the support team, Schneider Electric decided to change my UPS Pro.
Yesterday, I received the "new" one.
But how disappointed am I! The new one is, in fact, an old UPS Pro 1200. Well, it passed the quality assurance tests. But the appearance is awful (scratched everywhere)... So I have plenty of doubts about its reliability... If a new product has failed after a few months, what about old stuff...
Besides, and it's my main concern, the batteries seem very used (again plenty of scratches).
On the UPS Pro 1200, the batteries were new. I don't want to exchange them against old batteries which will fail in a few months...
Is it possible to assess the age of a battery? What tests can I make? I don't trust the te quality assurance of Schneider Electric.
Thank you for your help.

Hi Olivier,
Schneider's warranty policy for APC products, in case that product requires replacement, is to replace it with a new unit if less than 30 days have passed since installation or purchase, and to replace it with a refurbished unit in case it's over 30 days. This is a manufacturer refurbished UPS with a new battery and is expected to perform on par with a new unit. According to the serial number, your replacement UPS has been manufactured in July 2017. What was the serial number of your initial UPS? If you have bought it in April 2018, chances are it was a UPS that was manufactured sometime in 2017 too.
