I installed Powerchute Personal Edition software for Windows 10 64 bit (Licensed version-geniue) but getting error message as 

"The installer unable to locate battery back-up connected to your computer.  In order to disable native power management, an American Power Conversion battery backup needs to be attached.

If native power management is not disabled you may receive messages from Windows(R) relating to "battery'.

Questions:

1. I am installing the correct Powerchute software, if not which is the correct one to install?

2. Direct download link of the software, which suits the model APS-UPS RS 600 BR600CI-IN

If you review the product page it state the unit is a Back-UPS 600 without auto shutdown software. http://www.apc.com/products/configure/index.cfm?base_sku=BR600CI-IN&ISOCountryCode=in 

That UPS is not compatible with any shutdown software.

I have attached APS-UPS RS 600 with 360 watts. In the attached product description i did not find the "without auto shutdown software".

Moreover the link you have give is for 260 watts, please check on confirm

Hi,

There is no USB or data port on the UPS. For PowerChute or any other software to work you must connect a communications cable between the UPS and computer. Depending on the Back-UPS the ones that are compatible with PowerChute or third party software will have a USB port or JR50 Data port. The compatible Back-UPS would ship with a USB A to USB B cable or USB A to RJ50 cable.
