Hi,
I got my brandnew Back-UPS Pro 900 yesterday. As mentioned in the manual, I opened the battery case, moved the battery pack around, inserted it again and plugged it to the power supply for at least 16 hours.
The Unit itself is now telling me that everything is fine, battery is loaded at 100% (see attachment 1). When I now try to connect any device (PC, Monitor, even an office light) to one of the 4 battery backup slots, nothing happens. It just doesn't recognize anything.
When I unplug the device and plug it to the surge only slots, the device starts working.
So it looks like for some reason, the battery backup slots are not working (neither in Power-Supply-mode, nor in Backup-Battery mode). Self test doesn't show any error, even the windows tool delivered with the Back-UPS says "everything fine".
I tried all 4 battery backup plugs (also tried to activate & deactivate the master/slave / energy saving mode).
I also pushed the "circuit breaker" on the back (see photo 2 attached): Nothing happens. I just realized that this button is very easy to push, it seems to be nothing behind the button. I expected kind of a resistance when pushing that button. Maybe that's the reason?
Does anyone have an idea, what might went wrong?
Thanks
Ralf

Hi Ralf
I'm sorry to hear that didn't resolve the issue. I think the next step will be to contact your local Customer Care ( Tel:0800-101 00 67) or by using this Contact Form and they can organise a replacement.
Regards
Matt

Hi Ralf
The behaviour of the circuit breaker button sound normal, you'd only feel resistance when it has popped out.
The first thing I would try to resolve this issue is a 'Brain dead' which is like a hard reset on the Back Ups.
You can find the find the steps Here

Hi Matt,
no, doesn‘t help. Even after hard reset, still the same issue... 😞
thanks
