I recently pulled this unit off my shelf. I did not need to use it for several months. When I plugged into the wall socket, I get nothing but "On Battery" flashing amber light and then it turns to a steady amber light. No other lights or anything. If I plug in something to the "Surge Only" side there is power to that item. If I plug something intto the "Battery Backup" side there is no power to that item. There are no other led lights that come on or flash. When I remove the battery and plug the UPS into a wall socket, there is no sounds, lights at all. There is still power on the "Surge Only" side. I have tried the reset button on the back, no different results. In fact the button seems like there is no resistance or clicking at all. Not sure if there should be resistance or sound or anything?
Help please

Fabien,
Have you tried adjusting the sensitivity of the UPS using the software or manually? Changing the sensitivity is describe on the first page of the unit's user manual, see if lowering the sensitivity would make a change.

What is the serial # on the UPS?
Are you it is the "On Battery" LED flashing and not the Overload LED? They are right next to each other and the labeling can be misleading. Overload is the third LED. Also, when you have this flashing "On Battery" is there any sound?
The behavior you described with the UPS battery removed and plugged into the wall is normal. Only the surge outlets will work in this case.
Does the UPS fan always stay on?

There is no sound, fan or any lights that show other than the "On Battery" amber light when plugged into wall outlet. The fan never comes on, there are no other lights that light up except the one I mentioned earlier. Serial # QB0544343663
This unit appears to be dead.

Unfortunately it does seem that way...that sequence of events you described with the On Battery LED (flashing) indicates only faults with this line of UPS. If you have a proof of purchase that puts the date of purchase within the last 3 years (your serial # is from 2005), our technical support team can perform an RMA for you. You can contact them at 1-800-800-4272. Alternatively you can check our website or call the same phone # to reach the sales team and get a discount on a new unit via our Trade-UPS program.

Hi,
I've the exact same issue. Didn't use it for 1 month, and now only amber light blinking.
Mine is a BK650EI.
4B1008P63995.
Bought less than 2 years ago in Switzerland (where I'm now).
What shall I do ?
Fabien
