Hello,when the workstation isin hibernation mode orsleep, and is connectedwith thedata cable to the APC RS800 UPS  is turn on with no apparent reasonat different times.If theUSBcableis disconnectedeverything is fine. Devicesignalwake up workstation BIOS, why?, How to fixthis problem, I have severalidenticaldevicesand allhave the same problem. Inother ordinarycomputersnoproblem. The workstationisthe latest versionof theBIOSandall the possibilitiesfor remoteswitchingsystemare disabledby default.

so you are saying the problem is with a BIOS setting that allows wake up via USB?

This computerwithno optiontoblock allUSBwake up, todayfor the first timefoundthatComputerwake upeven withoutbeing connected to adata cable, oncea weekworks.Itautomatically displays UPS  thatwasnot theproblemdeviceand possiblya mouseor keyboard. Thanks for the advice.

Can you check within your Windows Event Viewer to see if there are any events from around this time period? Is this after you manually put the workstation in hibernate or sleep or is after an outage and the UPS does a graceful hibernate/sleep?
