Please inform me whether APC RBC17 battery (9Ah) is suitable for APC BackUPS BX700U. It is equivocal for me that only 7Ah can be used or 9Ah also.
Thank you for the information.

If the system came with a RBC17 which is a 9AH rated cell that is the one you should install and replace with. As the advertised operational runtime is based on that amp hour rating.
Nothing wrong in using a 7 / 7.5AH cell but obviously you need to accept the runtime will be less (IF) that’s important to you.
Customers typically purchase the 7 / 7.5 AH cell’s because they are cheaper.
NOTE: Insure you purchase only high quality cells which you can tell by removing the APC sticker. You’ll find the the OEM battery manufacturer is CSB, Vision, Long, etc.
CSB is the preferred choice between the three listed up above. You may also consider Yuasa as they are also a high quality battery maker.
