Hey Homies,

I've got this Back UPS 500 VA model that always beeps when there are brown outs. Is there any way that I can stop this. I'm trying to do work and every now and then the thing beeps and breaks my concentration. Please help.

What's the exact model #? There should be a label or sticker somewhere on the unit, usually on the back or the bottom.

Disabling sounds is an option in our PowerChute Software. BackUPS would primarily use RJ45 to USB cable and PowerChute Personal Edition. You can disable sounds during set times, or completely. The software is found through

This software looks like it uses a USB cable, but my back ups has a 9 pin serial. Will this work?
