Situation: I'd like to switch my Router, DSL-Modem, Fax etc. (connected as SLAVE to USV) by a QNAP TS 219P (time controlled) (connected as MASTER to USV).
Power-threshold is set to 0 (saving by pressing the 2 buttons, MASTER-Unit (QNAP) is off).
Problem: starting the QNAP (MASTER) will start the SLAVE-Units - so far so good, but after a few seconds the SLAVE-Units are powered off. I assume that the rel. low
consumption of power (6-25 Watt) of the MASTER is the Problem.
Question: Is it possible to adjust the threshold level (or to minimize the hysteresis) for power on/off ?
I would like to have the master control switching the slaves on when power(master) > 5 Watt and switch off when power(master) < 3 Watt - is it possible to set so ?
with kind regards
Udo

Hello again,
thank you for your answer, but i got an Back-UPS RS 550, and in that manual i cannot find any hint for power levels.
I thought it would be free programmable ?! In the linked document for Back-UPS ES 750 you're right, but it would
be poor, when a new digitally controlled unit couldn't handle this.
regards
Udo

Ah sorry, wrong unit. Did you try the calibration in the manual? It's on page 5. Press & hold the mute and display buttons for 6 seconds:
"While calibrating the threshold setting, the device connected to the Master Outlet should be turned off or placed in Standby or Sleep mode. Upon completion, Power-Saving icon will flash 3 and beep 3 times."

Hi,
yes I've tried several times. Functional, but not sensitive enough.
Probably you might be right, that the unit can handle 3 levels of
sensitivity only.

Udo
