APC Back UPS PRO USV 1200VA - BR1200GI with power chute personal ups powers to fast off?! normal?

hey we got the above ups with the software power chute personal edition 3.02 and a w7 pc.
In the power chute software the settings are that the pc should shutdown after 1min.
Hibernation is disabled cause the pc should shut down.

So fine so good.

We simulated today a blackout (pull out the powercord of the ups) (the ups is new so the battery was half full at this moment, remaining time 25min in software and display)

i know the above pc need around 5-7min to shut completely down (many processes are running)

so what happens?

We simulated the blackout -> pc gets signal to make a shutdown -> windows shutdown initialised is shuting down please wait...
but the ups dont wait for the pc to shut down complete . it powers off his self after about 1.5-2m i think.

after power returns and windows boots up i got the message that it was shutdown not clearly, yes and i know cause normaly it needs more than the 2min. that the ups gave him before it powers off his self.

so what is gone wrong? Could i interrupt/stop the power off from the ups

Rob,

Sorry for the delayed reply. PCPE does not give the option of a delayed shutdown of the UPS once the command has been given. Once PowerChute starts the shutdown process of the UPS the UPS will wait roughly 2 minutes then power down.

My recommendation is to upgrade to a Smart-UPS SMT1000 that allow for adjustment of the powering off of the outlet groups.
