BR550G-AR - Continuos beep with AC on and does't start up

Hi!

So, the other day my unit beeped and when i checked it was really hot and low battery (we didn't have any power outage!). I shutted down it using the power button to let it cold for like 1 hour, when i started it up every looked cool and puff screen goes black and power off...and a continuos beep started. Unplugged the pc and router, but also the ups from the ac...and didn't stop, so after a while i unplugged the battery.

I have been trying to power on it for days with and without battery, without luck, just continuos beeeep and black screen. Opened it to check if was some fuse, but everything looks okey inside.

Hello,

Could you please provide the model and serial number for your unit. They can be found on the bottom/back of the unit on a white sticker.

This sounds like the battery may be failing and needs to be replaced.

my back ups 600 doing the exact same thing..... it was working fine and then this??? if you press and hold the power button several seconds and release the beep will stop. I have ordered a new one from amazon. will send the junk one back for a refund.

Hi Mauricio,

Going off the serial number of your unit, it was manufactured in 2011, which makes it about 6 years old. At this point I would recommend a replacement unit over a replacement battery because of the age of the unit.  The typical lifespan of our units is 7-10 years.
