Hi and good day to all...
I have a Back-UPS ES 500 which emmits a loud constant tone whenever a black-out occurs and all of the equipment plugged-in are turned off suddenly, this has happened twice already.
Well I bought the new unit this week in order to protect my HTPC and HDTV from sudden electricity black-outs and power surges.
Plugged in it are:
- HTPC (Phenom II x3 720, ati 4770) consuming 380W
- 46'' Bravia consuming 277W
Thanks for any help!

I am aware of the U.S and Canada products. I recommend you to contact the regional Customer Care Center in the Philippines as they can recommend the UPS model which is sold in your country.

Okay..Please be aware that the size of the UPS should be more than the equipment power consumption.

Please view the UPS user manual in the above link for more information. This unit can provide only 1.3 runtime approximately at full load which is 300 Watts.
Therefore, I recommend you to call in the regional APC Customer Care Center to size a UPS which can handle your load and meets your requirements.
I hope that it helps.

APC Back UPS ES 500 UPS output power capacity is 300 Watts/500 VA. I believe that the equipment which is plugged into the battery backup outlets are overloading the UPS.What light is on when it is beeping constantly?
Could you please provide me the exact model number of the UPS? You can find it on a white bar code sticker at the bottom of the unit.
