APC Back-UPS BK300 Communications Cable

Someone recently gave me a Back-UPS BK300 from the early 2000s. A new battery brought it back to life. I'm looking to have this UPS signal a computer when its battery is low and a shutdown should be initiated. I plan to use apcupsd to accomplish this by responding to simple signaling inputs from the UPS. I'll need some kind of communications cable for this.

I'm thinking that this is probably what I want, but I haven't found any documentation that seems relevant to the unit I've got, only older models that seemingly didn't have the DB9 communications port that mine does. Would the 940-0020 cable do the job?

Yes. That is the proper cable for the BK300.

i have a APC WOW-300s UPS unit with a RS232 DB9 Comm Port. Would the 940-0020(A,B,...) cable do the communication job with my PC?

Hi,

The WOW-300 is not an APC by Schneider Electric product. The unit is manufactured by Powercom.
