Hi,
I bought a new BE850G2-FR about 2 months ago. This morning, I heard it emitting a constant tone.
After several tests, here's the situation, without anything plugged on it:
- the unit powers well without being plugged to wall socket. showing it's powering from battery,
- when plugged to wall socket, ends up to a constant tone and no light after one or two seconds,
- tried the reset with battery unplugged, no change
According to other posts here, it seems the unit is dead. The user manual suggests there's an overload but nothing is connected.
Any advice would be appreciated!
If the unit has to be replaced, what's the procedure in France? The unit is about two months, so under legal warranty.
Thanks!

Hello @Anonymous user
Thank you for reaching out to the SE Community, my name is Jon and I will assist you with this query. I am sorry to hear about the issue that you are having with the APC unit.
You have mentioned that the UPS works/goes into the battery when it is unplugged from the wall socket. Is this with the load attached or by the UPS itself?
When you plug it back into the wall socket, you mentioned that it ends up with a constant tone. I would like to know if this is with or without the load.
Since the unit is just months old, I suggest that you reach out to our UK&I Technical Support Team as well in the event that a replacement is needed.
