Hi, I use the APC Back-UPS ES 350 and have had it for about a year now and today i have been expiriencing some problems, I will be on my computer and all of a sudden the UPS will make a noise, my screen will darken and then my computer shuts off. After i power on my computer i get a screen that says my sesion was saved and before i start windows i need to make sure my battery was charged fully. The first time it done it i overlooked it but now this makes the second time it has done it within a few hours. As of now i only have my dsl box and my monitor hooked to the battery backup side of the UPS and my comnputer is hooked up to the regular surge protection side because i have to big of a powersupply to use the battery backup for my computer.
Any ideas on what i need to do or what is wrong with the UPS?

Hi:
Initially, these symptoms sound like an overload. However, from what you're describing, you are not likely to overload the unit with just a monitor and a DSL modem. This unit is rated at 200W. Is your monitor LCD or CRT, or what? And what size?
If it is just a regular small DSL modem and a typical 14-19" LCD, you're likely under 100W, let alone 200. If that is the case, I would call or Email APC's technical support and possibly get a replacement (assuming this is a new product. PM me the serial if you want to confirm warranty status)
Thanks

Hi, I have a 19 inch LCD moniter, and a small actiontec dsl modem, before i built my new pc i had my old hp hooked to it along with the moniter and dsl modem and it worked fine, its just now acting up for some reason. I have looked on the UPS and i found 2 numbers that could be a serial number but niether one is labeled so ill give you both numbers and you can try that if you would. The first number is BE350R, and the second number is 3B0651X24527. Thanks so much for your help and support, you have helped me alot.
