I just purchased one of these, and out of the box there was no charge.
1. Will it charge when it is off?
2. How long does it usually take to fully charge?
Thanks,
Lee

Hi,
Yes. As long as the units are plugged into an AC source and the battery is attached they will remain charged even if they are in a powered off state.

Hi,
Yes, the battery will charge after you connect it/plug the battery into the UPS. As long as you did that step, the battery itself charges whether the UPS is on or off, as long as you plugged the UPS into the wall.
For a UPS like this, I'd plan to leave it overnight. 8-12 hours should be adequate. If you want to plug your equipment in and turn the UPS on so you can use it while it charges, that's fine too. The only issue is that you cannot expect the full battery back up time until the UPS charges up.
