You can purchase either AP7802 or AP7832 Metered Rack PDUs for your need.
The AP7832 has got a NEMA L5-30P plug which can be plugged into a NEMA L5-30R receptacle. It has got (24) NEMA 5-20R outlets. The rack height size of the AP7832 is Zero U. Click on the below link to know the AP7832 technical specifications:

The AP7802 has got a NEMA L5-30P plug which can be plugged into a NEMA L5-30R receptacle. It has got (15) NEMA 5-20R outlets. The rack height size of the AP7802 is Zero U. Click on the below link to know the AP7802 technical specifications:

Metered Rack PDU’s do provide monitoring over the network. Information available over the network includes but is not limited to:
* Load current readings (either by load bank or the entire PDU – depends on model)
* Alarm notification (including overcurrent)
* Event/data logging
Metered Rack PDU’s do not provide individual outlet control. When the PDU is powered, all outlets will output power, unless the circuit breaker feeding the outlet bank has tripped. If you want to control an Idividual outlet, then you can go for Switch Rack PDU types.
Metered Rack PDU’s have an LCD physically on the front of the unit. This LCD normally displays the current being drawn by the entire PDU or the specific PDU Bank (depending on PDU type).
* The LCD can also be used to determine the network IP address assigned to the PDU. Hold down the gray button located on the front of the PDU for approximately 3-5 seconds. Once IP appears on the LCD, release your finger and the IP address will appear.

ok so its an L5-30P
so what PDU do I want?
it has to plug into the L5-30R/P
and I must be able to plug regular servers into it (just your standard desktop and rackmount servers)
also the pdu should be 1u or 2u.
thanks
Luc

Luc,
Do you have a UPS available to plug the PDU into? If so, could you please let me know the exact Model number of the UPS so that we can recommend you a PDU which is compatible with your UPS that has the NEMA L5-30R outlets? You can find the UPS model number on a white bar code sticker at the rear of the unit.

the UPS is a huge central APC thing.
it Connects to a breaker box.
the breakers then go to plugs on the ceiling.
I want to plug the PDU's into said plugs.
our existing PDU's are old HP's.
I want a PDU that will plug into said plugs and allow me to plug servers into the pdu.
the ceiling plugs are L5-30P
I want either C13's or 5-15 plugs for the pdu to use with ordinary computers/servers.
thanks
Luc
