so this unit says load 0% battery 12% with the battery and load 0% battery 12% with 2 new rbc7 batteries fresh out of the box. any thoughts or ideas? tried a factory reset, self test, leaving it off for the night without the battery connected etc. wondering if there is anything else i can try.

turns out it was bad caps in the charging circuit. i changed out the main caps and replaced the 22uf ones i think there were 5 of them also and its working fine now. it was stuck at 12% with any battery new or old and without one installed. everything seems to be fine now, client is happy.

to add and make sure on the same page the display doesnt change from that battery: 12% with or without the battery plugged in. also tested the continuity before and after the anderson connector to make sure its not the connector.
and when the battery is disconnected it stays on 12% and does not go to 0%.
would love any thoughts. thanks again

It's normal for the battery SoC % to remain unchanged when you remove the battery. Have you measured the voltage of the battery to confirm it's within range? Usually the UPS just feeds a fixed voltage to the batteries and they take in whatever power they need.
