smart ups 2200 rm xl

hi all

i have and old smartups 2200rm xl

model SUA2200RMXLI

i change battery with new one

charged for 100 and do runtime calibration  with 20% load it's just work for 6 min

i remove the load just put one lamp with 50Watte

and gharge the battery with 100% and disconnect the power source

and it's work about 7 min undecided

so i think it's battery problem

change it with worked one and it's the same

this pic from power chute

in pic number 2 some time tell me in ups status avr boost  and some time online >>??

i need it charge battery bigger from it's come with it

4 battery with 7amp i will get 4 battery with 14 or 16 amp for each one

and i found alot youtube talk about mod the code for that problem

the orginal one was 13 and i change it for 2F and many other but the same

so i need the orginal one

and i want frequency to be 60 instead of 50

  1. OK, I understand.
  2. The UPS will sync to whatever the input frequency is. So in Egypt, you're input is likely 50Hz, correct? And when you "coldstart" the UPS off of it's battery, the 230V models, default to 50Hz. These models are "auto-sensing" as far as frequency.
  3. Can you be more specific about "it's fail all LED at once" - what does the event log say? Are you indicating all of the LEDs are solid or flash on the front panel, like the UPS is going into a fault condition? We need to know which specific LEDs were on or flashing. For a good calibration result too, I'd suggest at least 20-30% load as well. The lower the load, the less likely a calibration will occur and that it will be super accurate.

Here are a few pieces of feedback.

  • SUA2200RMXLI is a 230 volt unit. It does 230V in/230V out @ 50 Hz. It may support different output voltages but I don't think you can change the frequency on one of these models.

  • Your UPS reports it is receiving only 200V in, instead of closer to 230V. Thus, it is "boosting" the voltage for you to get it closer to 230V using its internal Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR) feature. You should look into finding out why you're only receiving 200V. If you already know and it is not going to change, then your UPS is going to be constantly in boost mode which is not what it is designed to do constantly.

  • As far as the calibration, you need to let it charge up to 100% and do a proper calibration. I don't think 20% load is high enough and I'd probably suggest doing a manual runtime calibration if you can, as outlined here (Why are the battery charge LEDs flashing on a Smart-UPS? | FAQs | Schneider Electric US) which recommends at least 30% load for accurate results and it cannot fluctuate more than +/- 5% or else it won't calibrate properly.

hi

Angela N. thanks for your reply ..

1- the boosting is not all time some time it in online mode .. i think it's weak of voltage ( EGYPT)

i could attach voltage stablizer for fix this problem

but the main problem is it's not fully charge the battery .. after 2 midnighte the voltage will be  220 stable until 11am so it's good time to fully charge without boosting mode

2-http://www.apc.com/resource/include/techspec_index.cfm?base_sku=SUA2200RMXLI3U

its show frequency from 47 to 60 So it's must be have

3- i wait for 100 charge and do calibration it's fail all led at once and refuse to do calibration
