restoring windows 7 native battery management after powerchute removal
after a blackout with powerchute set to shut down the system it was protecting after 1 minute it failed to do so and just continued running until the battery's gave out. once I noticed what was happening I rushed to get my laptop out and VNC on the the server but was not able to in time. I'm now re syncing 3 important raid arrays. just as I got to the desktop I seen win asking if I wanted to force the shutdown. This is something I would think the powerchute apps would have done considering... so now I removed the app and found it has not restored the native support for windows to manage the battery. how do I restore windows 7 native battery management support, as I'm confident is its ability to force the shutdown.
Google was unhelpful for me and I found nothing in the reg or anything along the lines of a bat file in the installed APC program files I could change. I feel like I have over paid for a serge protector...
