Hi Admins,
I have a question on the APC Smart-UPS 1000RM. The gui on the home page mentions 1 Critical Alarm Present - Site Wiring Fault.
My UPS vendor has checked the ups and mentioned that the fault is due to the incoming supply having issues which I googled on the internet for more information.
We have requested the utility technician to check but they mentioned there is nothing wrong with the incoming AC supply.
I have tried to power off and on the ups but the problem still exists.
The status of the ups is as follows:
Last Battery Transfer : Detection of a line voltage notch or spike
Input Voltage : 231.8 VAC
Output Voltage : 231.8VAC
Frequency : 49.7 Hz
Battery voltage : 27.67 VDC
Serial number: GS0022025061
Firmware revision: 157.3.I
Kindly advise the remedy action as my nms keeps receiving the snmp trap that says site wiring fault.
Many thanks in advance.
Regards
Wilson

Hi,
"When the Smart-UPS “RM2U” models (SU700/1000/1400RMI2U) were introduced, one of the new features was the ability of the unit to send traps or messages to the user if the Site Wiring Fault LED were illuminated. The Site Wiring Fault LED is a feature present on 120 volt Smart-UPS units only. The LED serves to alert the customer of a wiring problem at the circuit into which the Smart-UPS is plugged.
This site-wiring fault circuitry is removed from International (230 volt) models, however, the microprocessor does not eliminate the site-wiring fault check on 230 volt units. Therefore, the microprocessor pin used to monitor the circuit must be held high so the microprocessor does not incorrectly indicate a site wiring fault. This problem has been fixed in all units by adding a pull-up resistor. On older units that did not have this fix, the indication of a site-wiring fault is purely cosmetic – you can be assured that there is no wiring fault."
