Hi all.
I have a ups 1000xli with a 9630 card.
it seems I cannot access to this card neither using com nor using ethernet.
I tried:
1. connecting com port with the proprietary cable but I see nothing
2. connected to a dhcp server: the led flash orange but then flashing green
3. use Ip configuration wizard: initially it ask me ip data, but I cannot access via web
4. the arp address of the card is not present in my arp -a
5. resetting: same results
6. deeply resetting: same results
7. if I reset the card, after reboot it flash green/orande slowly
I tried different dhcp server with no luck.
I have other alternatives or the card is gone ?
thanks

if the card has LEDs, most likely it is not gone. an error may have been made in configuration.
a few questions:
1.) what version of the device IP configuration wizard are you trying? there have been recent updates to it so you will want to make sure you are using a version HIGHER than 3.0.1 to fix these issues - check apc.com for the latest version.
2.) if you don't want to do that, what terminal program are you using (putty, hyperterminal, etc)? what port settings? please let us know the EXACT steps you are taking when you are connecting the serial cable to the card and what is plugged in where.
let's start there - these cards rarely have an issue so hopefully we can get it to work.
thanks!

depending on the firmware version of the card, the card is probably requiring a DHCP vendor cookie to be configured before it will accept its address.
check the attached guide on page # 71 on the PDF for information on that.
