If the equipment is being used in a business environment the short answer is - No.
Given the unit is well EOL and no warranty never mind the hardware wasn’t designed to do so. You are risking a lot to invest the time and resources to do so.
The safest and most direct approach is to purchase the correct hardware. If brand new isn’t in the budget there are a lot of refurbished and second hand vendors that sell the same at fraction of the price of new!
The vast majority of refurbished sellers also offer in house warranty for a period of time. Some also offer extended warranty’s if required as they have confidence in the final product they sell.
Before you move forward with any modification consider all the implications as it relates to personal safety, hardware, insurance, and fire.
If you’ve put pen to paper and want to go forward in the possibility. You can open the unit up to see how the transformer is wired and see if a 240 VAC tap is present. Keeping in mind everything else in the unit would need to be modified to sustain the 240 VAC output.
Given the unit is a multi voltage input system you have a 50/50 chance the bulk of the hardware is so rated. The problem you’ll run into is if the unit has AVR and the MCU is programmed to only output 120 VAC!
In the true multi voltage units you can select 120, 230, 240 input. The output would reflect the input voltage.
As an aside you could try to use one of the step up / step down transformer from the SRT line if you’re really committed or any 3rd party maker. Going this route would allow you to keep the existing unit in its original configuration.
