i followed the instructions and everything seemed to be fine. but after a host-reboot, i entered vcenter again and saw that the plugin is present in the start page to times: 1 is called pcns (the custom hostname i gave it to) and 1 symbol is called localhost. i already deleted the pcns-va and rinstalled, but the 2 plugins are still present.
the problem is: i have vcenter 6.7 and there is no directory cd /var/lib/vmware/vsphere-client/vc-packages/vsphere-client-serenity as mentioned in the link.
how can i find the right directory????
update:
after another restart of vcenter, the 2nd plugin-symbol is gone. but the symbol that remained is called localhost, not pcns-. i guess i can live with it.

Hi,
When you view the PowerChute web interface has the host name changed? If not you should run the command hostnamectl set-hostname "new hosts name" Then stop and restart PowerChute. The commands are service PowerChute stop and service PowerChute start.
