I've recently picked up a master switch AP9211 with a AP9606 card from eBay.  if anyone can assist with resetting serial number: WA0042004552 thanks

Hi Roberto,

To reset the password a backdoor password is going to needed to be generated based on the serial number. If this is the serial number off of the Masterswitch itself this is not going to work to generate the password, the serial number must be taken from the AP9606.

There are 2 ways to go about doing this. One way is to remove the card from the Masterswtich and read the serial number from there or you can serial into the unit and use the user name of "apc" and password of "apc -s" this will show you what the serial number of the network management card will be.

After we get this we are able to generate the password for you.

I have a AP9211 / AP9606 and need to reset the admin password. The AP9606 serial number is WA0030006231 Please Help Kent
