So I fired up my computer and when PowerChute Personal Edition 3.0 had finished loading the tray icon now has a ! inside it.
Apparently "Energy Usage monitoring is not available."
1st question: Should I care?
2nd question: Anyone know why after a month of daily use this suddenly happened?
3rd question: I looked through the software and can't find anything in the way of a setting for this function ... is this something I am supposed to be able to control?
Thanks in advance for your assistance, my system specs are as follows
ASUS P6T-SE
i7 920
12GB RAM
HD 5770
2 x 500GB and a 1TB hard drives
LG 2042 and 2044
let me know if I can provide further clarification or information
Dan

what UPS are you using with this? The UPS firmware must support energy management features or else this option will not available.
although, it sounds like your UPS did support this initially?
please provide the model of the UPS from the little white sticker on the back or bottom of the UPS. if we find out that your UPS does not support it, then you don't really need to care. that sounds like its not the case though.
my first inkling is to reboot the UPS but we can see what the next step will be when i know the UPS model.
thanks.
