i have 20 servers in a rack and i have 5 smartups-3000 devices with ap9631 nics in them. I want to manage all 5 UPS and then when if necessary tell those 5 servers to shut off if the battery is getting low in the case of a power outage. I have the 20 servers connected to 5 Dell basic PDU units. And each of those PDU units connects to its own UPS. What software will handle this? Or do i need to add a different piece of hardware. Thanks.

You can use [PowerChute Network Shutdown|http://www.apc.com/products/family/index.cfm?id=127&ISOCountryCode=US] to handle graceful shutdowns on your servers in the event of a power outage. You would install the software on each server and configure the settings to ensure everything has enough time to shutdown (dependent on the runtime available and the time it takes your servers to shutdown properly). After the shutdown sequence, the UPS will go to sleep and turn back on once power is restored.
