loose plugs/sockets contact on a SUA750I

I just bought a UPS in Switzerland (230V, three-pronged power cables) that seems to work well except for loose contacts. The supplied cables (the ones used to connect gear to the UPS that is) have plugs that seem slightly too small and the connection is not secure: a gentle pull on the cable might move the plug in the socket and cut the power briefly (but long enough that the device looses power). I have not tried other cables yet (I had no spares on hand) but I have to say I find the contacts to be surprisingly flimsy. This is definitely not what I'd expect from a device that's supposed to be about security. Have any of you experienced this issue? I assume it's not a common problem.

Should I RMA the unit? I bought the UPS from and e-tailer and I'm reluctant to deal with bureaucratic hassles and to send back the heavy package if the problem isn't a warning sign about other issues this unit might develop while in use. I should be able to figure a quick fix such as wrapping the cables around something heavy near the back of the UPS so as to make sure the plugs aren't going to be move in the sockets because someone pulled on a cable or something. By the way, if you've got a tip about securing power cables, now would be good time to share it!

Thank you for your answer. I'll try pushing the plugs more forcefully into the unit (I don't have it at hand). I'll also try other cables.

One thing I was thinking about but didn't try last time was to test if the power is cut on other attached devices when I wiggle a single power cord. Rather than a problem with the plugs/sockets, it might be a loose connection within the unit that's cut when you exert some force on one of the plastic socket panels.

I've heard a story similar to this one before - however with the newer units and cabling coming with them, you might need to exert a bit more force to push the cable all the way in.
Can you check if you have a bit more space for the cable? If it is really secure?
