how to factory reset a SmartUPS DL3000RMI3U

My SmartUPS DL3000RMI3U does not come on after a power failure and battery drain. It might have been set up to common after the battery has been fully recharged by its previous owner. 

Is there a way to reset this? I did not get the serial cable nor does it have any usb or eth port.

Hello,

A DL3000RMi3U will not power on if the batteries are low or disconnected. You will need to wait for the batteries to charge to power the UPS on.

Ok so I found a APC seral cable and connected to the SMART-UPS 3000 RM. If i open putty and set the board rate to 2400 I get a response from the ups when i hit shift+A

But when I try to install PowerChute i get a prompt like this

what am i doing wrong? googleing but can't find the fix solution that fits my problem
