Hello
I have 8 Smart-UPS RT 8000 RM XL in my Serverroom and plane to buy a power unit (with fuel) which starts after 2 minutes power down.
is there something where I must look specially for the power unti,or can I just add the max Power from each UPS to specify the Power unit.
(like 8000 VA x 8 = we need a fuel Power unit with 64kVA).
(reserves are there enaugh, each UPS has max load 50% and 2 are not in use in the moment)
thanks for answers.
Udo

Hi ich!
When you say power unit, are you talking about a generator? In general, the generator should be 3-5x the size of the total load attached to the generator (Not just the load attached to the UPS.)
