i just picked up 4 smt1500 id18 2017 models and will upgrade them to 9.6 but im wondering where i can find a changelog im curious to know what was changed and if it may be better for some cases to stay on the older firmware or use an older one vs the newest one. the only info i can find is the list of models and id's and what the current firmware is. im just particular about things like this and i dont like to update without a changelog or sometimes really a reason to do so. also is id18 the newest version out for the regular smt1500? not talking about the smt1500c model or others but the regular smt1500 units.
also am i correct any 24v fan around the same amp rating would work in these it looks like the fan is just snapped onto the plastic bracket that screws to the metal frame and i can replace it easy enough one of them is ticking and i checked to make sure its not hitting anything inside its faint and gets louder the faster the fan spins so it will need to be replaced. thanks!

Not sure whether it helps, but half way down this page I found a link to a bunch of firmware files which include release notes for some of them: https://www.se.com/ww/en/faqs/FA170679/
You should have no problem replacing the fan with another 24V one. The current ratings are all pretty close so I don't think you'll run into any issues even if it draws a little more current than the stock one.
