I have 2 pdu....ap7901 and ap7902. I can login to the gui on the ap7902 but the ap7901 says
"Protected Object.
This object on the APC Management Web Server is protected and requires a secure socket connection. Protected Object.
Click here to use a secure connection"
When I click it says No Connection??? How to fix?

Hi Carl,
That's another symptom of the older NMC1. We have the issue outlined in https://www.apc.com/us/en/faqs/FA242581/, cliff notes version is newer versions of Putty are not supported. If you can find an older version of Putty (v0.62 is the last known to work), or a different terminal emulator such as Teraterm or the regular windows command prompt you should be able to login.

Hi Carl,
It sounds like HTTPS is enabled on the AP7901. Older PDU's use our NMC1 platform, which does not support many of the newer ciphers that modern browsers are using. The latest revision of firmware for that model PDU is v3.9.0 (which can be downloaded from apc.com), and has support for TLS 1.0, if the firmware can be updated and the browser you're using modified to accept TLS 1.0 connections that could get the web interface to work.
HTTPS could also be disabled through a Telnet connection, reverting to a HTTP connection
