alarm threshold violation error

Hi All

This is on a Symmetra 40K UPS. We have the following error

Critical - UPS: A runtime alarm threshold violation exists.

The UPS is down to 2 minutes now, is this error just the fact that its only has 2 mins runtime or could this be something else ?

yep so if you adjust that setting the violation should clear (or if you add more batteries i guess).

okay so it seems like you have a runtime threshold configured in the network management card under the UPS tab->Configuration->Power. this is worded as Alarm If Runtime Under: xxx

what is this value set to? do you know why your runtime is so low?

Ah its set to 5mins so that will explain it. A lot of Extra load has been put on it so its dropped runtime quite a bit.
