Hi,
Can anyone recommend which version of PowerChute one should be installing these days to work with a SUA1500 and Windows XP? I know v. 7.0.4 is out there works well, but there is also single node 8.0.1. Which version is better?
Thank you for any input

APC Power Chute Business Edition version 8.0.1 is the latest version that supports Windows XP. It communicates via the Serial cable that came with the SUA1500. The PCPBE version 8.0.1 has got only the Agent. The PCBE version 8.0.1 single node can only be accessed through via a web interface. In order to do this, on your server you have the agent installed and running, you need to go to the loop back address: http://127.0.0.1:3052 (or the appropriate IP address if accessing form a local machine). The agent service operates on port 3052. Regarding your question, I recommend you to use the latest PCBE version 8.0.1 software to monitor the UPS.
