Hi, I have 4 APC SmartUPS 1500, with NMC2 cards.
They were purchased in two batches.
Two have UPS firmware "UPS 08.8 (ID18)" and two have firmware "UPS 05.0 (ID17)".
Can I update the 5.0 firmware to 8.8?
Where do I get the firmware?
Details for the 5.5 devices:
Model: | Smart-UPS 1500 |
SKU: | SMT1500 |
Serial Number: | AS1203126291 |
Firmware Revision: | UPS 05.0 (ID17) |
Manufacture Date: | 01/22/2012 |

Just look at the image files and you'll see file names that begin with SMT17 and then SMT18 - you go by the ID's you posted in your original post and those are the numbers you see in the beginning of the file name.
So, for your ID17 units, you should see SMT17UPS_07-1_Le.enc and ID18 will use SMT18UPS_09-1.enc

Thank you.
I downloaded the images file, and it contains several firmwware versions.
None of the readme txt files appear to apply to SMT1500 model UPS's?
Any specific pointers as to which image file to use for updating via NMC cards?
P.

Ok, thank you, I got all of them upgraded.
The KB made me believe I need to look at the model number, as in part number, not the ID on the about page, maybe update the KB, and/or the readme files in the images archive.
