Hi Bill, no problem for the delay,no rush here
My little project is about shutting down all the consumers tight to the outlets during 9AM - 5PM daily, except the weekends.I want to have 0 power consumption, or almost 0 because I still want to access the NMC and I am aware that needs power, but not the 40-50 watts.Ideal was some wol capabilities of the NMC and some trickle charging capabilities of the ups when is completely shut down.I say 10-15 watts in will be sufficient for that.
So i want to schedule a completely shut down the ups (almost 0 power consumption) but having access to the NMC.
THX again.
P.S.:can you please tell me the rpm to the fan on this unit(smt1500i) in high and low settings ?
I want to change it.

But i have another question if you don't mind....
after scheduling(ups) to shut down the ups i can't access the network card.It shouldn't be online ? the green led on AP9630 is on but no connection. If i try to do a outlet group scheduling i only have the option to shut down the "group1" not the "main".
How to shut down the ups and have access to the network card or how to shut down the both outlets ?!

Hi,
To schedule a shut down you should go to Configuration - Scheduling - UPS and you can schedule the shutdown of the entire UPS.
As for communications with the Network Card, once the scheduled shutdown has taken place the Network Card will be accessible for 9 minutes. After that the card will not be accessible until the UPS turns back on.
The sequence for shut down is
1 - Network Card sends signal to UPS to power down
2 - Any outlet group power off delays are counted down Example: switch group has 60 second delay, Main group has 30 second delay. Switch group delay is counted down and the group is powered off then the main group delay is counted down and the UPS goes into sleep mode.
3 - The UPS stays in sleep mode for 9 minutes, then the UPS powers down completely and communication to the Network Card is lost.
4 - If power on has been scheduled the UPS will restore power at that time.

Hi, i manage to play around this weekend with the unit.
I found that the unit dos not powers down completely during a scheduled, not even i close manually - the unit still uses 43-50 watts and the lcd is on, counting the second until it supposed to power on.
is there a way to completely shut down the ups ?
my early problem was that during a shutdown schedule my router was connected to the ups outlets - so the ups/network card is still accessible after 9 minutes because like i sed arlier it never shuts down.
also i observe a strange thing :
my battery is online and 100% charged and 27.0 V.After a period of time(1-2 hours) it enters in "online green mode",the battery start to discharge until it reaches 95% and 25v.Then is switches toon "online" and the battery is charging again. The "green mode" is lasting only 5 minutes or so...This behavior is ok for the battery health ? discharge/charge cycle ?
Also when the unit has no load in "online green mode" his power consumption is around 60w and in only "online mode" power consumption is 43-50 watts.Where is the green in that ?
Thx.

Hi,
Sorry for the delay in my response and I apologize but I gave you so incorrect information in an earlier post. When scheduling a shut down the UPS will kill power to the outlets and if a power on delay has been set it will wait that time and then restore power to the outlets. During the delay the UPS remains available via the NMC and as you wrote the LCD screen remains active. My earlier response was based the on the UPS being on battery. When on battery the UPS will wait the 9 minutes and then kill power to the NMC.
I understand that you want the UPS to power down but if you would tell me for what reason, how often, and if the shut down has to be automatic / no user intervention I will research your options.
Again, I apologize for the delay.
