W2000Server Powershute 7.0.2 won't work or uninstall

Hi all. I have a Dell W2K SBS server which had APC Powerchute 7.0.2. Something has gone wrong so I tried to uninstall it to reinstall from the CD.
I used add/remove programs to uninstall it but found that there were 2 copies of Powerchute showing there and when uninstalled them they were both still there. I followed a thread and tried to do a manual uninstall but some registry entries refused to be deleted.
When I tried to reload from the CD, it seems to hang when “Creating Agent Service”. Any ideas on how to solve this gratefully received.

ok, since private messaging is not working, i will email you the manual uninstall instructions that we have. please double check the registry against ours.

which thread did you follow? i can share the manual uninstall procedure with you to ensure you got everything incase it was just part of the procedure. it sounds like we should start there.

what version is on the CD? 7.0.2?

Hi. Thank you for your reply. The uninstall procedure was on another site, not one of these threads. I confirm that I have the 7.0.2 CD
