PowerChute Business Edition and PowerChute Network Shutdown offer graceful shutdown of VMware ESXi. The supported UPS with PowerChute Business Edition is any Smart-UPS connected to the ESXi host via serial cable with PCBE installed on VMware vMA. See the PCBE Install Guide, PCBE ESXi User's Guide for assistance. PCBE will send shutdown signal to the ESXi host and the host will command the VMs down.
PowerChute Network Shutdown is compatible with any Smart-UPS or Symmetra that has a Network Management Card install and on the local network. There are 3 options for graceful shutdown of ESXi with PCNS. 1 - install PCNS appliance on the host. 2 - install PCNS on VMware vMA. 3 - install PCNS on stand alone Windows server. See the PCNS install guide, PCNS VMware User's Guide. PCNS will send shutdown signal to the ESXi host and the host will command the VMs down. If you have VMware vCenter Server then PCNS will shutdown the VMs, vCenter Server and then the hosts. See Application Note 180 and the PCNS VMware User's Guide.

Hi,
Which version of PowerChute are you inquiring about? PowerChute Network Shutdown or PowerChute Business Edition?
