Variable frequency drives on an FM unit
Can / should the variable frequency drives on an FM unit be used to vary the airflow based on the space requirements?
I have an application where I want to make sure that I have cooling capacity for future IT refreshes. The application is for a multicool unit that will be configured to have chilled water as the primary and DX as the backup. The FM35 will work for the current design conditions, but if I can vary the airflow and cooling capacity down on an FM50 why not spend the extra money for the additional capacity?
Is it possible to vary the airflow on the FM50 unit for the reason described above?
