Hello,
in our Company we are adding 21 new APC UPS 1500 with an NMC 2 Model Number: AP9630
My Problem is now about there DHCP connection.
I try to describe the problem as good as possible.
At our sites, the firewall is a DHCP server.
When the UPS is connected to the network, it gets a default address DHCP (eg 192.168.1.12 in VLAN 1). Do I want to change it (eg 192.168.2.12 in VLAN 2) the UPS is no longer accessible.
She gets no new DHCP address (Reserving via MAC Address is also not working) or trying to the old settings wont work as well.
I already tried every system, or any hardware that is in between to restart but unfortunately without success.
The last possibility I can think of is to go into the sites and restart manual.
What can I do?

Hej,
i "solved" the problem.
My solution to solve it was to take out the NMC2 for about 5 - 10 Minutes and reinstall it again.
So i didnt need to shutdown the entire UPS.
And every person has the ability to use an screwdriver so i dont need to get to the locations π

what VLAN are you accessing the devices from? are you configuring them with VLAN1 IP addresses with the DHCP server and then want to access them and configure them for VLAN2 addresses? am i misunderstanding? either way, at this point with what you've mentioned, it sounds like it is a network specific issue. if you cannot access the card though, there is no way I can think of to reboot the AP9630 remotely if that is what you're also trying to do.
