I have several Netra T1 servers that are installed Solaris 10 and w/o X windows. Is there a way to do the silent install w/o X? I know the instructions indicate X is a requirment for base install...but there is nothing about the silent installation. When I try it, it errors out w this in the jinstall.log:
Mon Oct 15 16:25:08 2007 java installer C++ command: "/usr/bin/java" -cp .:install.jar:util.jar load -q /export/home/phil/powerchute/silentInstall.ini
Mon Oct 15 16:25:09 2007 java wizard execed with no reported errors
Mon Oct 15 16:25:09 2007 Java wizard not started properly
See errors.log for other possible causes.out of disk space?
Mon Oct 15 16:25:09 2007 Other possible causes for errors:
* Read/write access rights to the 'temp' and installation directories?
* OS need to be patched to run Java apps?
* Anti-virus software installed that won't permit unknonwn executable or JAR files to run?
Mon Oct 15 16:25:09 2007 jvmLocation /usr
Mon Oct 15 16:25:09 2007 jvmInstalledInTemp false
Mon Oct 15 16:25:09 2007 configureReg: false
Mon Oct 15 16:25:09 2007 copying log files to /export/home/phil/powerchute
Here is the command i'm using to start the silent install: ./pcns221sol.bin -q /export/home/phil/powerchute/silentInstall.ini
Any guidance would be much appreciated - I'd sure hate to install X just for the UPS:)
Tks,
Phil

Hello Phil,
I believe Xwindows is required for the install Powerchute Network Shutdown and Powerchute Business Edition. I don't remember ever finding any workarounds for this.
